Bridging Paths: Career Development in China’s Banking and Fund Industries

The event is designed for undergraduate and postgraduate members who are interested in pursuing careers in China’s banking and fund management industries. It brings together several alumni from Imperial College Business School (ICBS) who are currently working at Chinese banks and fund institutions, and who possess professional experience across the UK, Mainland China, and other international financial centres. The alumni will share their career development journeys and industry insights.

The event will focus on the organisational structures, recruitment processes, and career development pathways of China’s banking and fund sectors, as well as cross-cultural working experiences. Through alumni keynote sharing, panel discussions, and interactive Q&A sessions, the event aims to help students better understand the transition from academia to professional life, clarify their career positioning, and refine their preparation strategies. Ultimately, the event seeks to build a long-term platform for alumni–student engagement, offering practical and first-hand industry insights and career guidance, and supporting the development of globally minded finance professionals.
