Global Immersion Week
Epicentre of AI Adoption and Applications

Sunday 23 March - Saturday 29 March 2025

Volunteer Opportunities

    Student Company Visit Host

As a student host, you will be the Master of Ceremonies (MC) for the company visit. Some of your duties will involve arriving promptly at the venue to greet any local speakers and thank them for hosting us. You will introduce the speaker, kick off the Q&A session with some of your own pre-prepared questions and facilitate the Q&A with the wider group. To find out more, view the Student Company Visit Host Brief

    Student Blogging & Social Media

Whether you are already a student ambassador or a gifted photographer, get in touch to act as the official GEW champion on social media. Content will be featured in LinkedIn, Instagram stories (as part of the student takeover), Instagram grid, and on the School website.

    In Collaboration with Omnia Discovery

Omnia Discovery delivers bespoke experience based learning programs for international business schools and executives. They are founded by Bayes Business School MBA alumni.

The aim of the Global Immersion is to give students a chance to experience first-hand the social and cultural dynamics of business in another country. The trip will consist of a number of visits to different companies across a range of industry sectors, as well as social and cultural activities. Moreover, students will receive the opportunity to network with local Imperial alumni and professionals.

    Learning Outcomes

By the end of the module, you will be able to:

    • Appraise the workings of organisations, and their role in pursuing sustainable business in the context in which they operate and how they are managed
    • Select and apply analytical and problem solving techniques to the decision making process in real-life business contexts and present their analysis in a professional and persuasive manner
    • Create viable solutions using interdisciplinary knowledge and cross-subject skills
    • Appreciate the social and cultural dynamics of business in another country.
    • Demonstrate they have obtained a set of personal development and lifelong learning skills applicable to the international business environment
