Daily Update 3: First full day complete!

Thank you for a great first full day on the Future of Cities Global Immersion! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. We're also sorry that the last activity ran later than planned, and will do our best to communicate any late finishes or timing changes in advance for the remainder of the trip.

Thank you for using the time at SMCCU to ask a lot of great questions. We hope you found the conversation thought-provoking and have had some time to reflect on the views that were shared.

Some notes on company visit etiquette:

1. Be engaged. You should not be on your phone during a talk or panel.
2. Do not use this time to take a nap. This is extremely obvious to the speaker(s) if they’re facing you in the audience and reflects very badly on the group and Imperial College more widely. There is plenty of time to nap on the coach.
3. Come prepared with questions, demonstrating that you have done some research on the speaker or the wider company/project.
4. If you're struggling to hear a speaker or audience questions, make this clear so we can fix it. If you can't hear what's being said, you're probably not the only one!

Key points for tomorrow:

• Please ensure you are wearing closed-toe footwear - this is a requirement for the Jebel Ali Free Zone
• If you'd prefer to stay at the Palm for dinner/free time following our visit to the Observation Deck, you are very welcome to do so, but please tell us so that we don't wait for you on the coaches!
