Careers Event - The Power of Global Networks

Join us tomorrow afternoon for a cross-programme careers event to get insight into the differences of working across industries, regions and cultures while networking with industry professionals, alumni and current students here in Singapore. Suitable to students looking to work in the APAC region and those just looking to learn more about key opportunity areas in the region, the panel discussion and relaxed world café networking style provides information on what companies are looking for from master level graduates, inspiration to develop an international career and tips on how to do business in the region.

Agenda

  • 14.00 – 14.45: Registration & Welcome session
  • 14.45 – 15.30: The Power of Global Networks Panel
  • 15.45 – 17.00: The World Café Networking Session

The Power of Global Networks Panel

The panel discussion aims to highlight key opportunity areas in the region and inspire students to consider an international career path. We have invited esteemed panellists from different industries to share their insights and experiences:

  • Andrew Chin, Director at FTI consulting (consulting)
  • Pooja Mayee, Country Manager, SEA Distributor Markets at Abbott (healthcare)
  • Jakub Wachocki, Director, Digital Co-Ventures & Strategic Partnerships (Global) at Bentley System (innovation)
  • Dennis Ng, Head, Group Transformation Strategy (GTO) at Standard Chartered Bank

The World Café Networking Session

This relaxed networking format allows students to chat with industry professionals in small round table discussions and network with other students from different programmes over drinks and nibbles.

You can find out more about the alumni joining here and we encourage you to prioritise two to speak with during the structured speed networking rounds.

Finally... it's been really hot today! Please remember to stay hydrated and stay in the shade where possible.

We do hope you are finding these posts helpful but should you have any questions, please do drop us a message on MS Teams or come and find us in-person (at breakfast, or any of of the events on the itinerary)

Best wishes,
Programme Team
