Daily Update 5: Business Challenge & Company Visits

 

Dear Students,


We hope you enjoyed your day of cultural activities and got to see some of the sights of Singapore!

Tomorrow we have another busy day of visits to look forward to.

Reminder: If you haven't already, you need to register for the Singapore Maritime Week Exhibition which we will be visiting on Thursday 27 March.

Thursday 27 March Important Times and Locations

  • Breakfast will be served in the J65 Restaurant from 06:30 (level one opposite reception). Please aim to be finished with breakfast by 08:45 to depart for the first session. 
  • 08:45 Depart for the first visit via MRT: Please be in the lobby for 08:45, we will depart together via MRT. Please arrive promptly and ensure you have your MRT card.
    • The location of the first session is Room 327 (Level 3), Suntec Singapore  Convention and Exhibition Centre, Halls 403-406, 1 Raffles Boulevard, Singapore, 039593.
  • 09:45 Singapore Maritime Week Exhibition: Marianne Choo, Senior Manager at Pier 71 will do a short presentation about Pier 71 followed by a Mini Business Challenge in small groups and time to explore the exhibition. You can find more information about the business challenge here.
  • 12:00 Free time for lunch: There is a food court in the basement of the Suntec Exhibition Centre with many food options.
  • 12:50 Depart via coach for the afternoon visits: We will inform you of the meeting point to depart for the afternoon company visits.
  • 13:30 DBS Presentation: Luis Carlos Cruz Huertas, Executive Director, Head of Automation, Infrastructure for DBS Big Data, AI and Analytics will lead this session. 
    • The location of this session is Level 2, 1 Create Way #12-02 Create Tower, Singapore, 138602.
  • 14:45 Break: There will be a short break so you can grab coffee.
  • 15:30 Microsoft: Vishal Singhvi, Director of Strategic Initiatives & Generative AI will lead this session.
    • The location of this session is Level 2, 1 Create Way #12-02 Create Tower, Singapore, 138602.
  • 16:45 Academic Session with Colin Love: Module Leader, Colin Love will deliver an academic session to close the days events.
  • 17:15 Coaches depart back to the hotel: you will have the rest of the evening at your leisure.
