Actions required for Ghana Business Challenge
Students travelling to Ghana will be required to obtain Travel Clearance from Imperial's Occupational Health team to validate the travel insurance. Please do this no later than 10 March 2025
As part of the travel clearance, vaccines will be recommended to students based on past travel vaccine history. Students opting to obtain vaccines through Imperial will be invited to book an appointment via Occupational Health.
Travel Clearance Form Instructions
Occupational Health have transitioned to Cority, a cloud-based clinical records and appointments system.
All existing "paper-based" health assessment questionnaires we have received will not be processed.

To log in please use single sign on by clicking on the button “Login with SSO” as show in the image below, some users may not be auto enrolled in which case please register using the instructions contained in the myCority Guide.

Vaccine Recommendations
The Occupational Health team will advise if you need to take or update your vaccinations before travel. This is a recommendation from the team but we would encourage you to follow their advice.
You have the choice to book your vaccines through OH or privately.
Vaccines booked via OH – you will need to call the OH reception desk to make an appointment. They are based in the Sherfield building. Vaccines booked through OH are charged to our account, so there’s no expenses to submit.
Vaccines booked privately – make an appointment via your travel clinic and submit expenses.
Vaccine expenses are covered by Imperial for all students on the module. Below pricing is based on OH fees, however vaccines booked privately may vary.
Hepatitis A (unless they have had 2 vaccines at least 6 months apart) - £23
Diphtheria, Tetanus and Polio (unless had a vaccine within last 10 years) - £9
Typhoid vaccine (unless had a vaccine in last 3 years) - £13
Ghana is a high risk country for malariaso all on this trip will require anti malaria tablets. They can purchase malaria tablets online without a prescription from reputable sources such as LloydsPharmacy, Dr Fox, Travelpharm. Maloff Protect (Atovaquone/Proguanil) is available without prescription over the counter from many pharmacies and you can also purchase Malarone generically as Atovaquone/Proguanil.
