Admin Updates for Nairobi GEW

 

1. Hotel Confirmation Letters are available

Hotel confirmation letters have been uploaded to the Trip Website < Resources < Documents. You will need to be signed into IBConnect to see the folder, please go in and download your letter. 

Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA)
https://etakenya.go.ke/
Kenya is visa free but you are required to complete the ETA at least two weeks before departure. This is an electronic service and usually the confirmation comes within 24 hours. You will require your hotel confirmation letter to complete this process. 
 

 

2. Flight Details

We are preparing your arrival and departure airport transfers, and require your finalsied flight details. Please complete the spreadsheet in the link above to add your flight details in. 

Students who have already submitted their expenses have had their details pre-filled. So this is a reminder that if you do not see your name on the spreadheet, we are still waiting for your expenses to be submitted. 
 

3. Student Hosting Sign Up

There is also a spreadsheet to sign up for student hosting for each of the company visits. This is a valued role as you will be introduced to the speakers and able to grow your network with founders and business owners in Nairobi.  Please sign up for the ones that look appealing to you, full information in the spreadsheet. 

Please note the visit list shown in the student hosting sign up is tentative as we finalise the itinerary. 


 

Health Clearance Reminders

  • Health clearance is mandatory  for this module, if you have not done this yet, please follow instructions here
  • The Occupational Health team have advised many students are turning up late/missing appointments. Please ensure you arrive in a timely fashion for your appointment.
  • Please review the Bite Avoidance instructions especially if you plan to join the Safari, Browns Cheese Farm, Kitengela, or otherwise travel outside of Nairobi city limits.

  • Get your ETA - deadline: 2 weeks before departure
  • Complete Health Clearance!
  • Book any recommended Vaccines
  • Attend the Pre-departure briefing (online) at 1PM on Thursday 12 June
