Visa Guidance

It is your responsibility to obtain your own visa. Please refer to the following advice to guide you on the process

What type of visa to apply for?

https://www.ghanahighcommissionuk.com/

Complete the online visa application form on the Ghana High Commission website and make the online payment.

You need to upload your supporting documents (including a yellow fever certificate) and provide hard copies. Print out the form, add supporting documents and send them by post as directed on the website.

How long will it take?

The visa processing time is 10 to 15 days.

To get a visa in around 3 days, check if you can use the express service available in person from the Ghana Premium Application Centre in London.

Further info?

The Premium Application Centre is a different service to the high commission service and applicants must follow the tailored instructions for this centre. For SLEF awardees, Imperial will not reimburse visa fees for the PREMIUM service.

Vaccine Recommendations

The Occupational Health team will advise if you need to take or update your vaccinations before travel. This is a recommendation from the team but we would encourage you to follow their advice

Vaccines booked via OH – you will need to call the OH reception desk to make an appointment. They are based in the Sherfield building. Vaccines booked through OH are charged to our account, so there’s no expenses to submit.

Vaccine expenses are covered by Imperial for all students on the module. Below pricing is based on OH fees, however vaccines booked privately may vary.
