How do I register?
Please visit the Events page of this website to register if you have not done so already.
What should I bring?
You will need to bring your phone with your IB Connect registration QR code or ticket (accessed via My Events on IB Connect). Please also bring your student ID.
We would also recommend bringing your Chilly's water bottle to use at the refill stations throughout the museum!
Can I bring a guest?
Welcome Day is open to Imperial College Business School students only, we are unable to accommodate any guests.
Can I attend a different IMAX session?
You must attend your designated time slot. There is a maximum capacity in the IMAX so we cannot accommodate any moving of slots.
Will the IMAX sessions be livestreamed for online students
Yes! Two of the sessions will be livestreamed.
If you are an online student and are unable to attend in person due to your location or travel restrictions, please complete this form. We will share streaming links with you ahead of Welcome Day. Please ensure to register for the event and complete the form.
Please also keep an eye on this website for updated information on how to watch the livestream on the day.
Further details regarding headshots
We recommend that you go for your headshots as you depart the Science Museum. For those of you attending slots later in the day, please do feel free to visit earlier, but note that you will need to re-enter the museum through the main entrance after your headshots.
Please note, there will be two one hour reserved slots at 12:00 and 15:45 for MBA students, who need to schedule this in around their mandatory induction sessions on the same day. Headshots will be open until 17:30.
Don't have time to get your headshot on the day? Not to worry! We will arrange additional sessions in the coming months.
Headshots will be made available via a shared folder. If you are uncomfortable with this, please complete the shared folder opt-out form, or do not attend your headshots time slot. Should you complete the form, we will email your headshots directly. Please note that this will increase the time it takes to share your photos with you.
Will food and drink be provided?
Yes! There will be a delicious selection of food and beverages during your during your Illuminate networking session. All dietary requirements will be catered for. Please take note of your scheduled time slot should you wish to purchase food on campus beforehand.
You will find a number of water refill stations throughout the museum, please do bring your Chilly's water bottle!
What is the dress code?
Business dress is expected, however we appreciate that it may be warm, so please take this into consideration and dress comfortably. We also recommend comfortable shoes as you may cover a lot of ground walking around the Science Museum and South Kensington campus!
Will there be cloakroom facilities?
Yes, you will find the cloakroom on the groundfloor as you enter the museum
