
Dean of Imperial College Business School
Professor Peter Todd is an expert in information technology and innovation management. He joins as Dean of Imperial College Business School in September 2024. Previously, he served as the Director General and Dean of HEC Paris, and Dean of the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University.
His research focuses on how people interact with technology. Professor Todd has extensive experience in university fundraising and was previously a member of the Board of Directors of the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) International. He has also served on the Coursera Global Advisory Board. He earned his PhD in business administration from the University of British Columbia.

Vice Dean of Imperial College Business School
Leila is Associate Provost (Digital Lifelong Learning) at Imperial College London and Vice Dean (Education) at Imperial’s Business School.
She leads on the development of the College’s lifelong learning strategy as well as overseeing the Business School's post- and undergraduate programmes and setting the educational strategy & vision of the portfolio. She manages the programme teams, Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions, the award -winning iDEA Lab (Innovation, Digital Education and Analytics), and Careers services for over 3000 students.
Her primary focus is attracting top students to Imperial College Business School’s cutting-edge programme and lifelong learning portfolio, driving an outstanding student experience, developing further innovative teaching pedagogies and platforms, and enabling success for all graduates.
Leila has a wealth of experience in business education. Prior to joining Imperial College Business School, she was Assistant Dean of Postgraduate Programmes at Lee Kong Chian School of Business in Singapore, and Executive Director of Early Careers Programmes at the London Business School.

Executive Director, Careers and Student Life
Lisa Umenyiora is Executive Director, Careers and Student Life at Imperial College Business School, supporting all students across the School’s portfolio of undergraduate, post-graduate MSc, and post-experience MBA programmes.
Lisa oversees all aspects of the student experience outside of academic delivery, with an emphasis on career and professional development, employer relations, community building, global experience, and partnerships. Lisa is a senior leader with over 15 years’ experience driving strategy within higher education.
Alongside her role at Imperial, Lisa is currently studying a part-time MSc in Anthropology and Professional Practice, exploring how to apply anthropological tools, perspectives, and research practice in a professional business context.

Full-Time MBA 2022-2023
Felicity was a member of the full-time MBA cohort and former President of the Dean’s Student Advisory Council. In addition to coordinating DSAC meetings and supporting Vice Presidents in their areas of focus, she organised the Business School’s inaugural Debate Competition on the topic of whether businesses or governments have more power to fight climate change.
Her lasting impact on the Business School is that she was the first Student President to be successful in securing microwaves for students to use on the lower ground floor – something students had been requesting for years!

Professor Julie McCann is a distinguished computer scientist specializing in distributed systems and cyber-physical systems. She is a Professor of Computer Systems at Imperial College London, where her research explores innovative solutions for complex, large-scale systems that merge computing with the physical world. Her work addresses critical challenges in smart cities, the Internet of Things (IoT), and adaptive sensor networks, aiming to create more resilient and responsive environments.
Beyond her research, Professor McCann has held leadership roles, including Vice-Dean (Research) for the Faculty of Engineering at Imperial and she is the Director of CHEDDAR, one of three national research hubs that researches telecommunications for 6G. She is deeply committed to fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and advancing diversity in STEM. A Fellow of the British Computer Society (BCS), she continues to push the boundaries of computer science while mentoring the next generation of researchers and engineers.

Professor Michele Dougherty is a renowned space physicist and the former Head of the Department of Physics at Imperial College London. She is best known for her pioneering work as the Principal Investigator of the magnetometer instrument on NASA’s Cassini spacecraft, which led to the groundbreaking discovery of a subsurface ocean on Saturn’s moon Enceladus. This discovery has profound implications for the potential of life beyond Earth.
Professor Dougherty’s expertise extends to leading the European Space Agency’s JUICE mission, which will explore Jupiter’s icy moons. Her contributions to space science have been recognized with numerous awards, including the prestigious Hughes Medal and the Gold Medal of the Royal Astronomical Society. A Fellow of the Royal Society, she is also a strong advocate for diversity in STEM and is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of scientists.

Professor Osier is Chair of Immunology and Vaccinology, Faculty of Natural Sciences at Imperial College London, and Co-Director of the Institute of Infection. She is Director of “Chanjo”, an African-led academic industry hub that implements a bottom-up approach to local vaccine manufacturing for endemic and epidemic diseases of importance to Africa. Her research teams’ vision is to “Make Malaria History” through vaccination, focusing on vaccine candidate discovery, the correlates and mechanisms that underpin protection.
She has won multiple international awards such as the Royal Society Pfizer, the Sofja Kovalevskaja, and the UKRI African Research Leader. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences, a TED Fellow, an EDCTP Senior Fellow, an EMBO and TWAS member and an official #TOGETHERBAND Ambassador for the United Nations Global Goal 3. Faith is the Past President of the International Union of Immunological Societies and was awarded the prestigious British Society for Immunology Lifetime Honorary Membership Award.

Dr Wayne Mitchell is the joint Associate Provost for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Principal Teaching Fellow and Senior Tutor at Imperial College London
Wayne’s passion and flexible working approach has positively impacted many staff and students’ academic and personal experience. He received the Presidents Medal for Excellence in Supporting the Student Experience in 2018. Whilst completing his MEd he joined the Imperial’s Race Equality Charter-Self Assessment Team in 2019 to evaluate the effects on the sense of belonging and identity on minoritized group. As Co-Chair of Imperial As One he hosts the weekly interview series, Belonging which explores the lived experience of individuals from minoritized groups. In 2021 along with IAO Co-chairs he received the Presidents Medal for Excellence for Community and Culture. At Imperial, he leads initiatives to create a more inclusive and equitable academic environment, championing diversity across the university. Dr. Mitchell is also a dedicated educator, mentoring the next generation of scientists. His work has been widely published in leading scientific journals, and he is recognized as a leader in both scientific research and equality in higher education.
